We consign pieces that are unworn and still have tags attached or are pristine or excellent condition.

We kindly pass on items that show signs of wear such as stains, pilling, or other marks.

Additionally, we aim to source consignment from companies that align with our values.

We carefully select items from brands that meet at least 2 of the following criteria:

♥️Are GOTS certified or use organic materials

♥️Follow fair trade and fair labor practices

♥️Are committed to environmental sustainability

♥️Are small, family-owned or mom-owned businesses

♥️Prioritize manufacturing in the USA.

♥️ we buy on an appointment-only basis.

♥️ we buy in person if you are local to the Bay Area.

♥️ we also offer Facetime if you are out of town or prefer digital to in-person.

♥️ we will consider items via text.

♥️ we offer pick-up and drop-off for our East Bay clients and shipping labels for out-of-town consignors.

♥️ we buy according to season, condition, demand, and inventory.

♥️ consigners must be at least 18 and a government ID is required to sell.

♥️ items must be clean, sellable, and free of hair, stains, pilling, or odor.

♥️ if an item doesn’t find a new home within 90 days from listing, it becomes the property of small talk city™.

♥️ we will NOT provide alerts for clients when items have hit 90 days.

♥️ if you wish to reclaim your items, you must reclaim them at your own cost before 90 days.

♥️ we provide itemized lists to help you keep track of your items.

♥️ at small talk city, we offer our clients 30% of the total resale value in cash or 50% in store credit.

♥️ payment to consignors for items sold is available in direct deposit, store credit or via Venmo.

♥️ we kindly do not accept returns at our consignment shop, but we are happy to answer any questions you may have before purchasing item
