Grownups Needle Felt a Mouse with Teacher Julianna (Saturday)
Saturday February 7th
9 –11 AM
at Small Talk City
You’re invited to a cozy winter weekend of handwork, connection, and rhythm for caregivers.
Join us for a guided needle-felting gathering where adults — and children ages 12 and up who wish — will learn to make a small felt mouse with Teacher Julianna.
This offering is designed especially for parents and caregivers who long to work with their hands while remaining present with their children in a shared, supportive space.
Those 0+ children not needle felting are welcome to watch, play nearby, or bring their own quiet handwork in a supportive enviornment.
Beginners are warmly welcome. Children are not required to attend in order to participate.
How this gathering works
-
Adults will be guided step-by-step in making a small felt mouse
-
Children ages 12 and up may participate in needle felting alongside adults
-
Children ages 6–11 are welcome to observe, play nearby, or bring their own handwork
-
Children ages 0–5 will have a dedicated play space with a support caregiver on site to gently lead play and help free caregivers’ hands
-
Parents and caregivers remain present and responsible for their children at all times
This is not childcare, but a shared environment where adults can focus in community while children are welcomed with care and clear boundaries.
Food & atmosphere
A light morning snack will be offered to all, including:
-
apples
-
cheese
-
seeds
-
crackers
-
homemade bread & butter
-
tea
We’ll move slowly, gather gently, and honor the pace of the morning.

Attending one session will give you all the information needed to continue your practice at home.
🌿 Space is limited. Advance registration required.
This gathering will be confirmed once minimum enrollment is met.
We warmly welcome you into this winter making circle.

About Teacher Julianna 🌹
"I was introduced to Waldorf education and the wonderful realm of handicrafts when my daughter was around two. Since then, I have graduated the Lifeways program in Marin County and have attended several Handwork intensives offered through the Waldorf Practical Arts training in Orange County. I have also studied Early Childhood at the Waldorf Teacher Training in Mexico City at Colegio Inlakesh. This is my third year in the Early Childhood program at a local Waldorf school, where I am currently the Nursery Aftercare Lead. Waldorf world aside, I have a major love for folk art and working with natural materials that I collect with gratitude and care from our Earth."
